The International Laser Ranging Service (ILRS) extends its sincere
congratulations to ROSCOSMOS and the Russian people on
Cosmonautics Day, this 60th anniversary of the flight of Yuri Gagarin, the
first person to orbit in space. This is a celebrations for all
mankind.

I remember going out and waving to Yuri Gagarin as his spacecraft passed
over me. (At the time I wanted to believe that he waved back)
