Koenig, R. Schmidt GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam GFZ Subject: CHAMP Apogee Burn Manoeuvres Dear colleagues, please be informed about an upcoming orbit manoeuvre for CHAMP on Monday/Tuesday week 50. From Dec. 9th, 2002 06:57 UTC till Dec. 10th, 2002 18:23 UTC a set of 24 apogee burn manoeuvres (i.e. 1 burn/orbit, burn duration approx. 50 min/burn) will be performed in order to rise CHAMP´s altitude. Due to the dense succession of burns, GFZ will stop delivery of orbit predictions for CHAMP during that period. GFZ plans to come up with updated predictions some time after the final burn on Dec. 10th, or Dec. 11th latest. Best regards, R. Koenig, R.
