Subject: [SLR-Mail] No. 771: Departing Honeywell From: Michael Selden > ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 2001-05-02 18:20:00 UTC Message No. 771 ******************************************************************************** Author: Michael Selden Subject: Departing Honeywell Dear All It is with some trepidation that I have decided to leave Honeywell and SLR work to try my hand at work in some new areas. It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to have worked with you all over the past (in some cases) 15+ years. My main purpose for leaving is to try and to learn new (for me) things, from both a technology and management perspective. I initiated this process some 9 months ago, but delayed leaving to wait for the MLRO to reach a certain state and for the Japanese (GUTS SLR) project to reach a particular level of maturity. For MLRO, the Italian team has been acquiring the best single-color SLR data that the MLRO has achieved and this last trip to Matera saw the system acquire both quality two-color MCP data and its first two-color streak images using the predicted-range trigger approach. For the Japanese system (GUTS), we have begun the contract, finished the CDR phase, and are rapidly approaching the second fabrication milestone. I leave our laser technology organization in the capable hands of Tom Oldham and our many associates here. While I am leaving the organization physically, I will continue to be here in spirit and in touch with my colleagues. I welcome communications, exchanges of ideas, and potentially future collaborative efforts. I will be reachable at: seldenmd@yahoo.com and intend to maintain this email address in perpetuity (or at least until Yahoo.com goes bust). Best Regards, Michael Selden From: ”Selden, Michael” ********************************************************************************
