Subject: [SLR-Mail] No. 961: 2nd Quarter 2002 Performance Report Card From: Van Husson, ILRS Central Bureau > ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 2002-07-18 00:30:00 UTC Message No. 961 ******************************************************************************** Author: Van Husson, ILRS Central Bureau Subject: 2nd Quarter 2002 Performance Report Card Dear Colleagues, The 2nd quarter 2002 Performance Report Card is available at: ilrs.gsfc.nasa.gov/stations/performance_statistics/perf_2002q2.html There are 2 changes to the report card this quarter. The 1st change is subtle, but does avoid any ”GLOBAL Accounting Scandals” as far as auditing pass totals (i.e. all pass counts for all satellites reflect the true number of passes versus the number of pass segments). For example, during the past 12 months, Yarragadee provided 775 Topex/Poseidon pass segments, but there were actually only 686 unique Topex/Poseidon passes. In previous report cards, 775 passes would have been reported, but in today´s report only 686 passes are reported. This change of accounting rules has no impact on normal point counts or minutes of data. The 2nd change to the report is the addition of the orbital analyst results of a second analyst center (i.e. Mission Control Center in Moscow, MCC). You will note there are differences in the orbital analyst results (i.e. normal point RMS, short and long term bias stability, and percentage of data accepted in solution) that stem from modeling (e.g. site coordinates, force models, etc.) and editing differences. Until next quarter, Van Husson, ILRS CB From: ”Husson, Van” ********************************************************************************
