(Sorry if you received multiple copies of this e-mail.): >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> G3. Global Ocean and Land Water/Ice Cycle and Solid Earth Interactions (co-sponsored by OS, GD, CR, CL & AS) H2O mass transport on Earth´s surface and its mass loading effects produce measurable changes in geodetic observables, such as Earth rotation, crustal deformation, and gravity. To the extent supported by the accuracy and spatial and temporal resolutions of modern geodetic data, useful knowledge of large-scale H2O transports can be derived. In this sense geodetic observations, both on land and from space, serve as a new and powerful tool for climate research. This session is open for papers dealing with the theory, computation, modeling, and data analysis related to the above, especially for, but not limited to, timescales shorter than decadal. We solicit a broad range of contributions and welcome forward-looking ideas and concepts. Hope to see you in Nice, Ben Chao, John Wahr, Hans-Peter Plag <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dr. Benjamin Fong Chao, Head Space Geodesy Branch, Code 926 NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Greenbelt, Maryland 20771, USA phone: 301-614-6104; fax: 301-614-6099 e-mail: Benjamin.F.Chao@nasa.gov From: EDC slrmail account ********************************************************************************
