Subject: [SLR-Mail] No. 1168: New tuned ESOC IRVs for Envisat From: Philip Gibbs (NERC SGF, Herstmonceux) ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 2003-12-31 11:56:00 UTC Message No. 1168 ******************************************************************************** Author: Philip Gibbs (NERC SGF, Herstmonceux) Subject: New tuned ESOC IRVs for Envisat ESOC have now improved their IRVs by tuning them. The first tuned IRVs were released on Monday 22nd December. We have monitored the resulting timebiases for these new tuned IRVs and can confirm that the tuning appears to be excellent. This means that the timebiases are continuous from day-to-day and that the timebias function should be very good. We would therefore STRONGLY recommend that everybody uses ESOC IRVs (+timebias function) for Envisat. | ========================================================= -O- ========= | NERC Space Geodesy Facility /| | | Herstmonceux Castle / | | Hailsham / | | East Sussex ( / / /) | | UK BN27 1RN ( /_/ / ) | | Tel: +44 (0)1323 833888 ( |O| / ) | | Fax: +44 (0)1323 833929 ================= | | Email: slr@slrb.rgo.ac.uk == == | | Web: http://nercslr.nmt.ac.uk/ = = | ======================================================================= From: slr@slrb.rgo.ac.uk (SLR Herstmonceux) ********************************************************************************
