Subject: [SLR-Mail] No. 1774: Satellite G05 (gps35) stopped transmitting microwave signals From: Daniela Thaller > ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 2009-06-10 15:48:00 UTC Message No. 1774 ******************************************************************************** Author: Daniela Thaller Subject: Satellite G05 (gps35) stopped transmitting microwave signals Dear colleagues, the GPS satellite G05 (gps35) stopped transmitting microwave data on June 8, 2009 (afternoon). As gps35 was one of the two GPS satellites equipped with retro-reflectors, this is of interest for the ILRS community as well. This situation implies that we at CODE cannot derive GNSS-based orbits for gps35 anymore. Consequently, we will no longer provide predictions for gps35 to the ILRS community, and gps35 will no longer be included in our SLR quicklook analysis. The predictions and the quicklook analysis for the other GNSS satellites tracked by ILRS (gps36 and the three GLONASS) will still be provided, of course.
