Pavlis Subject: Re: No.1928 : 7403 AREL: Arequipa, Peru (TLRS-3) Data Release Dear all, We are happy to see Arequipa delivering data again, one of our few southern hemisphere sites. I want to stress however that the issues Julie addressed in her message (”higher rate of noise returns, and higher than normal Calibration RMS´”) are causing the system to look randomly biased at the 2-4 cm level. This has been observed in the QC process by several ACs (JCET QC report attached). We thus ask the AWG to introduce a bias for this station until further notice, in preparing the official ILRS products. Although this is mandatory for the AWG, the rest of the AC/AAC are free to deal with this as they prefer. We hope that the engineering issues will be soon resolved and we will be able to return to our standard processing again for this valuable station. ecp [ Part 2, Text/PLAIN (Name: ] [ ”QC_report_Arequipa_74031306_100919_101031.txt”) ~150 lines. ] [ Unable to print this part. ] [ Part 3: ”Attached Text” ] On Nov 12, 2010, at 3:46 AM, slrmail@dgfi3.dgfi.badw-muenchen.de wrote: > ******************************************************************************** > SLR Electronic Mail Fri Nov 12 09:46:01 CET 2010 Message No. 1928 > ******************************************************************************** > > Author: Julie Horvath, NASA SLR > Subject: 7403 AREL: Arequipa, Peru (TLRS-3) Data Release > > > Dear Colleagues, > > After several months of station repairs and data validation, the ILRS > AWG Quarantine committee has approved the Arequipa, Peru (TLRS-3) > station for data release to the ILRS community.
