Subject: [SLR-Mail] No.2617: Re: SLR-OC Network Connectivity Issues From: Laing, Jason (Peraton) (US Person) All, At roughly 10:30AM (15:30 UTC) this morning, the SLR-OC connection to the outside world was restored. Between then and now, we`ve been assessing data flow, ensuring that systems are stable, and tracing down potential causes of the issue. This afternoon, the service provider confirmed that one of their systems was in an off-nominal state and needed to be reconfigured. We`ve started delivering some data products, and we`ll be keeping an eye on things to make sure that everything is flowing as expected. We`ll also be working with the community to make sure that products from Friday and the weekend are delivered in a way that doesn`t interfere with normal operations. (GSFC-5850) Subject: SLR-OC Network Connectivity Issues On Friday morning (12/13), SLR-OC realized that we had no network connectivity between our operations environment and the outside world, and throughout the day, we worked with our service provider to determine that there is a problem with provider-owned hardware. We`ve already scheduled a technician to be onsite as soon as they are available, hopefully today (12/16), and we are also investigating other options that might help with a faster recovery. SLR data and products are still available through the EDC and ILRS OC FTP sites. Additional information will be provided as status changes at the SLR-OC.
