Subject: [SLR-Mail] No.2877: Omni-SLR@Ishioka (7317) first data release From: Toshimichi Otsubo Author: Toshimichi Otsubo Dear ILRS Colleagues, We are pleased to announce that the very first dataset (CRD v2, NP) of the Omni-SLR system was released to EDC today. As we have already reported at meetings in previous years, Omni-SLR is a very compact, ultimately low-cost SLR system, primarily developed by Hitotsubashi University, National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, and the University of Tokyo. The project is being supported by a number of institutions and companies in Japan. Its first prototype has been tested at Ishioka Geodetic Observing Station of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI), where VLBI, GNSS and gravimeters are operational. Since February 2025, we have tracked mainly nighttime LEO passes, and the number of passes amounts to > 50 where one probable LAGEOS-1 NP is also included. Due to the pulse width (1.06 ns) of our laser, the single-shot scatter is large >6 cm RMS but the NP/pass quality should be better. Here are the Station IDs assigned by IERS and ILRS: Domes number: 21791M008 (the metallic marker on the floor) CDP Numbers: 7317 95 01 and the eccentricity vector (the marker to the az-el intersection) is: dN dE dU = 0 0 1.5408 (m) all of which are also provided via Site log@EDC. Our ASC chair Mathis is kindly working on the SLRF, eccentricity vector and data handling files including Ishioka. It should be noted that the PSD function of Ishioka VLBI and GNSS is newly applied in ITRF2020-u2023 (not in ITRF2020). We are so thankful to ILRS CB, NESC, EDC and Japanese+worldwide colleagues who have helped and encouraged us. We will proceed with the development and look forward to contributing to the ILRS and global geodesy. We plan to present the latest info at JpGU@Makuhari (in a few days) and IAG SA@Rimini, and ILRS workshops. Best Regards, Toshi --- Toshimichi Otsubo
