Subject:[RapidServiceMail] No.35: (HITU) Changchun range bias correlated with calibration
Content:********************************************************************************
ILRS/AWG Rapid Service Mail 2012-08-10 07:24:05 UTC Message No. 35
********************************************************************************Dear Fan-san and Changchun colleagues,

There are occasional small jumps (~ 10 cm) in Changchun´s
range bias, for instance, on 4 Aug and 7 Aug.

Please visit:
http://geo.science.hit-u.ac.jp/slr/bias/ (and check Latest Analysis Report)

The jumps are highly correlated with the calibration measurement,
which suggests that the jumps in the calibration may be unreal.

I would like to point out one more issue:
I see the calibration values (noted as ´sdelay´ in our reports)
staying the same throughout a night. How often do you make
the calibration measurement? If you expect the variation of
cm or even mm, it is advisable that you do it more frequently.

Lastly, the contact points in the ILRS webpage for Changchun:
http://ilrs.gsfc.nasa.gov/stations/sitelist/CHAL_general.html
are probably obsolete, still including Zhao You. Please ask
Carey Noll, NASA, to update it.

Can you give me a quick reply when receiving this? Thanks.

Best Regards,
Toshi
