IGLOS has requested that the satellite, GLONASS-86 (9086), be eliminated from the ILRS tracking schedule due to its unhealthy status. The new satellite, GLONASS-89, will take it´s place in the ILRS tracking priorities. Here is important information about the newest GLONASS that was launched in December 2002: Name: GLONASS-89 GLONASS #: 791 COSMOS #: 2394 COSPAR #: 0206001 SIC #: 9089 NORAD #: 27617 SLOT #: 22 PLANE #: 3 Therefore, the current ILRS schedule should incorporate these three GLONASS satellites: GLONASS-84 GLONASS-87 GLONASS-89 We wish successful tracking of this new satellite. Acquisition data will be available as soon as possible. Thank you, Julie Horvath and Carey Noll ILRS Central Bureau From: Carey Noll ******************************************************************************** |
