Husson, ILRS CB Subject: 7355 URUL updated eccs, site log, and coordinates Dear Colleagues, Thanks to John Ries´s analysis, we have uncovered a sign error in the 1st set of Urumqi eccentricities The original Up, North and East (UNE) eccs in their site log were given in X,Y,Z. When I converted these from XYZ to UNE, I assumed the wrong sign of XYZ since the UP appeared negative, which now appears correct. Below are both sets of eccs from Urumqi (7355), with the 1st set being corrected. START_EPOCH END_EPOCH UP NORTH EAST ----------- ----------- ---------- ---------- ---------- 20-apr-2001 30-jun-2001 -4.8706 -40.4853 -15.4239 01-may-2003 .9242 3.4911 .6144 Their site log and the eccs files have been updated to reflect these values. Below is an updated set of coordinates for 7355 in the ITRF2000 reference frame based on the most CURRENT 8 Km local tie between SLR and GPS (from their site log), and the ITRF2000 GPS position/velocity: X(m) Y(m) Z(m) 184592.113 4606751.203 4393756.561 XDOT(m/y) YDOT(m/y) ZDOT(m/y) -0.0306 -0.0055 -0.0003 Based on these coordinates/velocities and Ries´s analysis, the position appears to be good to the few to several cm level.
