His work at the Metsahovi observatory was abrubtly stopped and many of his plans and dreams were left unfinished. The FGI will continue Matti´s work at the Metsahovi SLR. However, to recover the situation will take a long time, and there will be less data and possibly some additional breaks in the near future.
