Rowlands Subject: Predictions for METEOR-3M Dear Colleagues, This note is to inform you that the orbit group in the Space Geodesy Branch (Code 926) at Goddard Space Flight Center will be providing orbit predictions for the METEOR3M spacecraft. It is our intention to provide these predictions bi-weekly. We would appreciate feedback on the quality of our initial predictions. If necessary, we can provide predictions on a more frequent basis. We will be sending the prediction via the ILRSpred mail exploder. Our predictions will also be available at CDDIS (look for the g926 extent in the data set name). The first prediction starts on 2003-12-16 and goes through 2003-12-21. Our group produces precise ephemerides for METEOR3M. Over the last month there has been a decrease in SLR data available for METEOR3M orbit solutions. We are eager to help by working with you to provide the best predictions that we can. Please let us know your evaluation of out initial predictions. Thank You, David D.Rowlands Space Geodesy Branch Goddard Space Flight Center (301-614-6110) David.D.Rowlands@nasa.gov From: flemoine@santafe.gsfc.nasa.gov ******************************************************************************** |
