Dear colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to the Automation and Control Systems
Session at the Fourteenth International Laser Ranging Workshop and ask that
you consider contributing a presentation on your work in this area. The
topics covered by this session include, but are not limited to:

- Real-time noise filtering and return detection
- Real-time automated tracking bias calculation and application
- Real-time automated on-site system performance assessment
- Automated session planning: predicted and real-time adjustment
- Automated data post processing and submission
- Remote control
- Automated aircraft detection
- Sky condition detection and evaluation
- Adverse weather detection
- Security and safety issues
