This satellite was separated from RESURS satellite together four other minisatellites. In accordance to NORAD information we thought that WESTPAC is satellite with ID 1998-043E. Owner of RESURS fulfiled analysis on the basis of real orbit of RESURS satellite derived from radiomeasurements, calculated separation pulses of minisatellites and precise orbit of 043E satellite derived from laser observations and think that satellite was named in NORAD as WESTPAC (043E) is in reality Israeli satellite TECHSAT, ID RESURS is 043C and ID WESTPAC is 043. Returns from TECHSAT we can explain some reflected surface on this satellite. If it is so that we can explain strange changes of brightness of former WESTPAC (ID=3D043E) which SLR station Riga observed 15 July and peculiarity of laser returns. Now =ED=F3C sent to SLR community IRVs for 043=E1 satellite on the basis NORAD TLE and we hope that indification is right. We ask you to support tracking ”new” WESTPAC ( ID=3D043A) .
