Constant Mid-Signal Detection (CMD) So far we have measured the time by detecting a rise of signal. New method what we call CMD measures the time by detecting and averaging both rise and fall of signal. CMD has an effect of minimizing the return signal jitters which is caused by difference of signal strength. 2. Triple Threshold Screening (TTS) TTS classifies the return signal by its strength. We use this method in order to exclude the notably weak signal. 3. A new calibration target So far we have used a target 1414m away. We have installed a new target 16m away. Mainly we use this new target for calibration. But the old target is still used to compare the old data. Hereafter we use the newly measured values i.e. 1414.710m and 16.490m. ============================================= ISHIKAWA Tadashi Assistant Satellite Geodesy Officer Hydrographic and Oceanographic Department Japan Coast Guard 5-3-1 Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104-0045, JAPAN tadashi-ishikawa@kaiho.mlit.go.jp ============================================= From: =?iso-2022-jp?B?GyRCQFBAbhsoQiAbJEJEPjtLGyhC?= ******************************************************************************** |
