The session is intended to give us some flexibility in the program; however we would like to focus on a few key areas: retroreflector arrays, new missions, and new stations. Two papers have already been offered on retroreflectors; others are invited. We also invite papers that do not fit into any of the other sessions. We have 90 minutes. We will schedule 6 - 8 papers in the 10 - 15 minute range. We will also make provision for posters. Short (2 minute) oral presentations will be scheduled for each poster in the session. Abstracts should be emailed to me with one copy to Jennifer Mullaney (jmullaney@eos-aus.com). Please include the session title. If you are uncertain about the appropriate session for your paper, include several candidates. We will find a place for it. I will confirm receipt of abstracts as I receive them. We will make a decision on the oral sequence or poster format by 9 October, but we try to make it as early as possible. All abstracts will be uploaded to the Workshop website in PDF format upon receipt. A list of abstracts will be compiled into a booklet which will be provided to each delegate at the start of the Workshop. The abstracts must be submitted by September 30. The format for the abstracts can be free text (including title, authors, authors´ affiliation and body text) or PDF. If you intend to include important result expressions, tables and/or figures), they must fit on one page. Because of the limited time of the session, poster contributions are also welcome. Please specify whether your preference is oral or poster, but the chairperson and the Program Committee will make the final decision. There is no specified poster size. As a guide, poster presentations might occupy a space of 1 meter wide by 1.5 meters high. It would be helpful if you provided me with an indication of the space you require. Methods for fastening posters to the wall/display will be provided at the venue (Velcro dots, pins, tacks). For those who wish to have their posters and papers printed locally, there is a commercial printing shop close to the Workshop venue (about 1 minute walk from the Crowne Plaza Hotel). For further information, or to lodge a printing request online, please contact CopyQik at http://www.copyqik.com.au/ . Final papers should be sent to me by 30 November. The papers will be available on CD in late January. We will have more on the final paper format later. For additional information on the Workshop go to: http://www.ilrscanberraworkshop2006.com.au We look forward to a wonderful meeting in Canberra. See you at the Workshop. Mike Dr. Michael R.
