Degnan Subject: Reminder: CSTG SLR/LLR Subcommission General Assembly This is just a reminder that the final General Assembly of the CSTG SLR/LLR Subcommission will take place at 7pm on Tuesday evening, September 22, at the SLR Workshop in Deggendorf, Germany. Although other agenda items will be discussed, the principal focus will be on the newly established International Laser Ranging Service (ILRS). Elections for the new ILRS Governing Board are in their final phase with only two At-Large members to be elected over the coming weeks before the Workshop. The ILRS Governing Board will supplant the current CSTG SLR/LLR Subcommission Steering Committee at its first meeting on Friday, September 25, but will retain its CSTG sponsorship and affiliation. Presentations by various representatives of the new Central Bureau at the Goddard Space Flight Center will alert you to the details of the organization, the GB election results, and the new array of services available to the SLR/LLR community and we encourage all members to provide your inputs to the fledgeling ILRS organization at the meeting.
