| Content: | ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 2008-06-12 14:38:00 UTC Message No. 1680 ******************************************************************************** Author: Juergen Mueller and Tom Murphy Subject: Subject: 16th ILW Session 6 ” Lunar and Interplanetary Laser Ranging”, CALL for Papers for Session 6 ”Lunar and Interplanetary Laser Ranging” of the 16th International Workshop on Laser Ranging, Poznan, Poland, October 13-17, 2008 The session ”Lunar and Interplanetary Laser Ranging” will address: 1) Recent lunar laser ranging activities: observations, analysis, advanced modelling and recent results of Earth-Moon dynamics and gravitational physics parameters 2) Status and ideas for upcoming lunar observations, incl. the use of tranponder technology and lunar missions like Chandrayaan-1, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, LCROSS impactor, GRAIL, LEO 3) Status and goals of inteplanetray laser ranging missions: technological challenges, analysis and (expected) results The session will include invited and contributed talks as well as interactive posters with short oral introduction. Deadline for abstract submission (and registration) is September 10, 2008.
