| Content: | ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 2008-06-20 14:27:00 UTC Message No. 1684 ******************************************************************************** Author: Stanislaw Schillak Subject: Third Circular: 16th International Workshop on Laser Ranging Third Circular of the 16th International Workshop on Laser Ranging Dear Colleagues, The 16th International Workshop on Laser Ranging is to be held in Poznan, Poland, from 13 to 17 October 2008. The theme of the Workshop is “SLR – the next generationâ€Â. For your reminder the deadline of the Jowita hotel reservation is June 30, 2008! Hotel Jowita has a good standard, low prices, reduced by the University specially for the Workshop participants. Please send hotel reservation form in the next few days. Reservation form is available on the Workshop website (Hotels-Reservation Forms-University Hotel “Jowitaâ€Â) http://www.astro.amu.edu.pl/ILRS_Workshop_2008/index.php After June 30 the reservation in Jowita hotel will be impossible. We strongly advise all participants to reserve Andersia hotel and the Guest Rooms of the Polish Academy of Sciences as soon as possible. The Organizing Committee will not be able to guarantee rooms after September 12, 2008. Due to international tourist fairs in Poznan in the same week we highly recommended to do reservation as early as possible. Call for papers is open. Please submit your abstracts by e-mail to the session chairs and to the Organizing Committee by the Abstract form (Abstracts-Abstract form) or by e-mail ( sch@cbk.poznan.pl the chairs will be available on the Workshop website (Abstracts-Call for papers) in the next few days. The contributions can be oral or poster presentations. Please submit an abstract according to the abstract form on the Workshop website. Abstract can be a maximum of 1500 characters in length. In case of too large number of presentations the Program Committee may ask the authors to change the oral contribution to a poster presentation. Deadline for abstract submission: September 10, 2008. The Abstracts Book will be available at the Workshop. We recommend that you making your registration and travel arrangements now, including Visa applications. Letters of invitation can be issued for anyone who requires Visa and submitted the registration form. If an entry Visa is required, please allow sufficient time for the application procedure; in some cases it can take up to several weeks from the time the application is submitted so we therefore strongly encourage you to contact your nearest Polish embassy or consulate.
