This chapter previously covered only tropospheric propagation delays, but it is now expanded to include ionospheric effects as well. So the title of the chapter has been changed accordingly. Please refer to the website: http://tai.bipm.org/iers/convupdt/convupdt_c9.html The new section 9.4 ”Ionospheric models for radio techniques” was written by M. Hernandez Pajares with contributions by U. Hugentobler, F. Mercier, and others. It provides a rather comprehensive summary of the effects over a wide range of frequencies used for geodesy.
