| Content: | ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 1998-11-17 22:00:00 UTC Message No. 180 ******************************************************************************** Author: Van Husson, ILRS Central Bureau Subject: Mirroring of ILRS Web Site The ILRS Central Bureau is pleased to announce that the ILRS Web Site (URL: http://ilrs.gsfc.nasa.gov/) is now mirrored at the Communication Research Laboratory in Japan (URL: http://galileo.crl.go.jp/ilrs/ilrs_home.html) and the European Data Center in Germany (URL: http://www.dgfi.badw-muenchen.de/edc/ilrs/ilrs_home.html) thanks to the efforts of Hiroo Kunirmori and Wolfgang Seemueller, respectively. The primary purpose of mirroring the web site was to reduce internet traffic (i.e. provide better response time) and to provide a back-up in case the primary ILRS Web Site was down or unreachable. CRL is currently updating their ILRS Web Site daily and EDC is in the process of developing the procedures for updating their ILRS web Site daily. Therefore, information on both sites will be almost as current (i.e. less than 24 hours old) as the primary web site. The web sites look best with Netscape Version 3.0 or above and MicroSoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or above. Both Netscape and Internet Explorer are freeware that are downloadable from the web at http://home.netscape.com/download/index.html and http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/download/all.htm?bShowPage , respectively.
