Subject: Second Annoucement: Joint IGCP 565 Project/GEO/GGOS Workshop =20
on Separating Hydrological and Tectonic Signals in Geodetic Observations

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to remind you of the upcoming workshop on the separation =20
of hydrological and tectonic signals in geodetic observations. This =20
workshop, the third in a series of five, is jointly organized by the =20
UNESCO International Geoscience Programme (IGCP) 565 Project, the =20
Group on Earth Observations (GEO), the Global Geodetic Observing =20
System (GGOS), and the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology and the =20
Nevada Geodetic Laboratory at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). =20
The workshop will be held on October 11-13, 2010 in Reno, Nevada, USA. =20
More information on the workshop is available at =20
http://www.igcp565.org/workshops/Reno_2010.

On behalf of the Program Committee, we would like to invite you to =20
participate in this event. The deadline for submission of abstracts =20
has been extended to August 31, 2010. Deadlines for registration and =20
hotel reservation are September 15 and September 24, 2010, respectively.

The session conveners are developing a diverse, comprehensive and =20
exciting program covering the characteristics of the relevant =20
hydrologic and tectonic processes, the state of the art in predicting =20
geodetic fingerprints due to these processes, the current capability =20
to separate these signals in geodetic observations, and case studies =20
in selected regions. We hope that you will be able to join us in Reno =20
and contribute to this timely and exciting workshop.

Best regards

Norman Miller and Hans-Peter Plag
