Dear ILRS Colleagues,

We are really appreciate for your support.
QZS-1 (Quasi-Zenith Satellite 1) has been launched on 11/Sep.
After launching, many initial check have been done successfully.

The satellite orbit takes it over the laser ranging stations of the
Western Pacific Laser Tracking Network (WPLTN), in Japan, China and
Australia. The QZS-1 project has requested an ILRS-WPLTN tracking
campaign for the satellite for orbit determination/estimation of clock
bias studies.
Your tracking support is vital to making this activity a success. We ask
that our colleagues in the WPLTN make every effort to track QZS-1.

(1) About QZS-1
Altitude: 32,618-38,950 km

(7) Point of Contact Person
SLR operation, Shinichi Nakamura, nakamura.shinichi@jaxa.jp
QZS-1 satellite, Hiroyuki Noda, noda.hiroyuki@jaxa.jp

Continued tracking support by ILRS is vital to the success of
the QZS-1 missions. Thank you for your cooperation.
