Job Vacancy

Within a project funded by the International Bureau of the Federal Ministry
of Education and Research the Deutsches Geodätisches Forschungsinstitut
(DGFI) invites applications for a position of a Project scientist (f/m).
The
aim of the project is the implementation of Analysis Centers for the
processing of space-geodetic observations of Satellite-Laser-Ranging (SLR),
Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), and Global Navigation Satellite
Systems (GNSS) in Chile. The tasks will be predominantly carried out at
DGFI
in Munich and will be transferred to Chile with Chilean partners.

The applicant should hold a university degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in a
mathematics or natural sciences discipline (e.g. geodesy, geophysics) and
should have substantial interest in geodetic reference frames, programming,
data analysis, and the willingness to cooperate internationally. A solid
knowledge of the English language is essential; basic understanding of the
German language is not required but could be helpful.

The full time position is to be filled as soon as possible. Salary conforms
to TV-L (west) E13. The project duration is limited to 31.10.2012.

Please submit your applications via post or via email to one of the above
addresses.
