Seventeenth International Workshop on Laser Ranging will be held in Bad =
Koetzing, Germany, May 16 - 20. I´ve been asked to organize the session =
on:

LOCAL SURVEYS: WHERE DO WE STAND AND HOW CAN WE IMPROVE THE =
SITUATION

The session should have a lead-off position paper =
(talk) and shorter contributions to help stimulate discussion and =
formulate conclusions and recommendations to help our laser ranging =
community improve its data products and meet the future =
challenges.

I hereby solicit contributions (either oral =
presentations and/or posters) covering all aspects related to local =
surveys, such as, for example:

- local network design
- =
surveying strategies and equipment
- data analysis and software =
issues
- collocation with other techniques
- short and long term =
stability checks
- results and comparisons

Please send me your =
title(s) and abstract(s) as soon as possible in order to allow for a =
timely organization of the session.
