We draw your attention in particular to session ”G2.3 Usage of and preparations for the next International Terrestrial Reference Frame” This session is intended to be a forum to discuss preparations for the next International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF), as well as its usage and applications in Earth sciences. The goal is to gather and discuss concerns of not only the contributing technique services, but also all ITRF users, ranging from local, regional to global applications. The session solicits contributions from the individual technique services and various ITRF users, covering the complete range of topics, including data analysis, parameter estimation, correction models and focusing on identifying and mitigating systematic errors, which will hopefully help improving the next ITRF solutions. 17 January 2012: Deadline for receipt of abstracts at http://meetings.copernicus.org/egu2012/abstract_management/how_to_submit_an_abstract.html Please consider submitting a paper for this session or contact us directly if you have any questions.
