Dear Colleagues,

As many of you may know, on May 2, 2012, the ILRS Analysis Centers will
transition to the use of normal points in the CRD format for all
analysis work. After a week or two during which the analysts
successfully create production solutions using the CRD data, the
Analysis Working Group will inform the Operations Centers that the
analysts have successfully completed the transition.

At that time, the Operations Centers will instruct those stations
sending data to them to cease sending the normal point and full rate
data in the old format. Until then, the stations should continue to send
BOTH formats if they are currently doing so. Stations should also work to
insure that CRD data are sent in a timely fashion.

Thereafter, the only new data distributed by the ILRS data centers will
be in the CRD format. Normal points from stations that have not started
validation will be forward-converted to the CRD format by that station´s
Operations Center until that station starts sending CRD-formatted normal
points. There are no plans to convert historic data holdings in the old
format to the CRD format.

Please let the ILRS CB know if there are questions.

Best regards,
Randall Ricklefs
for the ILRS Central Bureau
