Lemoine (flemoine@olympus.gsfc.nasa.gov) Subject: Availability of the Technical Paper on the EGM96 Geopotential Model We have available some extra copies of the Technical Paper on the EGM96 (Earth Gravitational Model 1996) [The Development of the Joint NASA GSFC and NIMA Geopotential Model EGM96, NASA TP-1998=206861, July 1998, 575pp]. This report details the development of the model, which integrated satellite tracking data (to satellites tracked by SLR, DORIS, GPS, TDRSS, and Doppler), surface gravity data, and altimeter data into a comprehensive and consistent degree 360 model of the Earth´s geopotential. Those who have not already received a copy of this report and would like to receive a copy should send a request to Frank Lemoine at NASA GSFC (flemoine@olympus.gsfc.nasa.gov), including their complete mailing address and affiliation.
