Subject: G2.2 session on reference frames at EGU2013

EGU General Assembly -- Vienna, Austria, 07 - 12 April 2013
http://www.egu2013.eu/

Dear Colleagues,

The General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union will be
held in Vienna, Austria, 07 - 12 April 2013. We draw your attention
in particular to session ”G2.2: The International Terrestrial Reference
Frame: Preparation for the next Release and its Applications”

The goal of this session is to provide a forum to discuss
preparations for the next International Terrestrial Reference
Frame (ITRF), expected to include data through 2013, as well as
the ITRF usage in Earth sciences and other applications.
Participants can discuss concerns not only related to the
contributing technique services, but also all ITRF uses, ranging
from local, regional to global applications. Contributions are
sought from the individual technique services and various ITRF
users, covering the complete range of topics, such as data
analysis, parameter estimation and correction models. Of special
interest is the evaluation of the impact of loading effects on
individual frames and their combination. Contributions focusing on
identifying and mitigating technique systematic errors are most
welcome, which will hopefully help improve the next ITRF
solutions.

09 January 2013: Deadline for receipt of abstracts at

http://www.egu2013.eu/abstract_management/how_to_submit_an_abstract.html

Please consider submitting a paper for this session or contact
us directly if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Zuheir Altamimi, zuheir.altamimi@ign.fr, Institut National de
l´Information Geographique et Forestiere

Jim Ray, jim.ray@noaa.gov, National Geodetic Survey
