Content:Dear colleagues,

The terms of two members of the IDS Governing Board will end on December
2014:
John Ries as a member at large,
Frank Lemoine as the Analysis Coordinator.

A call for nomination will be sent in May to invite IDS Associates to
propose candidates
for the two open positions for the next 4-year term 2015-2018.

Elections will be held in early October so that the two new elected
members could attend the Governing Board meeting to be held
on October 29 in Konstanz, Germany, in conclusion of the IDS Workshop
2014

An overlap period of a few months for the new Analysis Coordinator will
be considered

Because of the importance of the function of Analysis Coordinator, the
IDS wishes to disseminate widely
this announcement and encourages institutions to consider getting
involved in this task.

Role of the Analysis Coordinator as defined in IDS Terms of Reference
(http://ids-doris.org/organization/tor.html)
* The Analysis Coordinator assists the Analysis Centers and
monitors their activities to ensure that the IDS objectives are carried
out.
* The Analysis Coordinator, working with the Analysis Centers,
is expected to provide quality control, performance evaluation,
and continued development of appropriate analysis standards.
* The Analysis Coordinator, with the support of the Combination
Center, is also responsible for the appropriate combination of
the Analysis Centers products into a single set of prescribed data
products.
