Content:Pippo,

Have you tried to replace the low loss receive cable? We had a problem a few months ago with the receive cable dropping the gate and the receive signal completely making it look like the PMT was going bad. When the cable was moved the signals came back so the problem would appear and disappear randomly.

rgds,
Ron

Dear Colleagues
The MLRO system is down since May 15th due to the incredibly frequent malfunctions that we are experiencing with the Photek MCP photomultipliers. Some of them quit working after a few hours of operations, some after a few weeks. Is anybody else experiencing similar problems with Photek?
Best regards

Pippo
