Dear Colleagues,

ASI will host an ILRS Technical Workshop in Matera, Italy on October 26-30, 2015. Tentative topics include Current Network Performance, GNSS Tracking, Systems Biases, Time Transfer, and Debris Tracking. Workshop sessions will be interactive - intended to share experience and advice to:

* better understand our current limitations;
* identify ways to improve network performance and future capability through enhanced procedures, processes, and technology;
* explore some of the new applications of laser ranging;
* expand our user community and enhance our generation of data products.

Session will have one or two introductory talks and then an opportunity for discussion and sharing. Each session will specify topics to be discussed and identify conclusions and recommendations. Participation and input from the data users including the missions will be essential to making this meeting a success.

This is a challenge, but it is a process that we must undertake.

Time will be available on October 24 and 25 for Working Group and other splinter meetings. The ILRS GB plans a half day session on October 25, most likely in the afternoon. There will also be a visit to the Matera Station one afternoon during the week.

Further information will be issues as plans mature.

Mark you calenders.

We look forward to seeing you in Matera,

Pippo Bianco, Cincia Luceri, and Mike Pearlman
