His family posted the news on the Caring Bridge website http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/drbobschutz which has been frequently updated with news over the last few weeks. Bob was an important part of our scientific community, a strong presence and valued advisor; we will truly miss him. Our thoughts go out to his family and his colleagues during the difficult times in the days and weeks ahead.
