| Content: | Author: ILRS CB The ILRS is sad to report that Carroll Alley, Professor Emeritus of physics at the University of Maryland College Park, passed away on February 24, 2016. Dr. Alley was the Principle Investigator for the Lunar Laser Ranging Retroreflector experiment placed on the Moon in 1969 by the crew of Apollo 11.
