| Content: | Dear colleagues, as proposed at the last ILRS workshop in Potsdam, the station history log procedure has to be updated. The current e-mail-based procedure will be replaced by a new web-based procedure. From now on, the station history log can be updated on the EDC-website by the stations. Therefore, the e-mail submission has been deactivated. The following steps have to be performed. 1. Enter the EDC-website (http://edc.dgfi.tum.de) 2. Request a password for the station account by clicking on ´Password forgotten´. The user name of the station is edc_xxxx, wherein xxxx is the station ID (only 4 digits). Then the new password will be sent to the primary contact of the station. 3. After successfully logging-in with your station account, click on ´My Station´ and then ´Station History Log´ in the left menu to update the station history log. 4. The current station history log can now be updated by uploading a complete file or by adding individual records. Also, a modification of the existing station history log is possible. 5. After updating the station history log, it will be sent to CDDIS and also copied on the FTP at EDC (ftp://edc.dgfi.tum.de/pub/slr/slrhst/) on an hourly basis. The date of the resulting file (e.g. ziml_hst_20170119.log) is automatically set to the date of the most recent modification of the station history log on the EDC website. The updated station history log can also be checked on the EDC website immediately after updating it (e.g. http://edc.dgfi.tum.de/en/stations/7105/station_logs/).
