Content: | Dear Toshi, We were very sad to learn about the passing of Dr. Kozai. His work in orbit dynamics was of paramount importance to the Smithsonian Standard Earth models and other Earth model developments early in the space age. We also worked with him on the Dodaira Satellite Laser Ranging Station in the early 1970´s. I remembered his wonderful hospitality when I visited. It was a pleasure to see him once again at the Workshop on Laser Ranging in Fujiyoshida. His impact on space geodesy will long be remembered. Please extend our condolences to his family.
