the IDS Governing Board will expire in December 2018:

-one seat of at-large member, p=
resently occupied by Marek Ziebart (University College London, UK),:p>

-the seat of Analysis Coordinat=
or, occupied by the tandem team Hugues Capdeville (CLS, France) and Jean-Mi=
chel Lemoine (CNES, France).

A call for nomination will be s=
ent in mid-July to invite IDS Associates to propose candidates for the two =
open positions for the next four-year term, January 1, 2019 - December 31, =
2022.

Propositions of the IDS Associa=
tes will be collected by the Nominating Committee formed for the elections =
up to September 16.

A short CV (1 page) will be req=

November.

An overlap period of a few mont=
hs for the new Analysis Coordinator will be considered.p>

The Governing Board meets at le=
ast annually, usually twice in conjunction with meetings of the Analysis Wo=
rking Group and IDS Workshop.

The principal role of the Gover=
ning Board  is to set policy and to exercise broad oversight of all ID=
S functions and components.

It also controls general activi=
ties of the Service, including restructuring, when appropriate, to maintain=
Service efficiency and reliability.

Because of the importance of th=
e function of Analysis Coordinator, the IDS has wished to send broadly this=
announcement and encourages institutions to consider getting involved in t=
his task.

Role of the Analysis Coordinato=

• US”>The Analysis Coordinator assists the Analysis Centers and monitors thei=
  r activities to ensure that the IDS objectives are carried out.
  
• lfo1”>The Analysis Coordinator, working with the Analy=
  sis Centers, is expected to provide quality control, performance evaluation=
  ,

d continued development of appropriate analysis standards.

• US”>The Analysis Coordinator, with the support of the Combination Center, i=
  s also responsible for the appropriate combination of

e Analysis Centers products into a single set of prescribed data products.<=
o:p>

In the coming term the Analy=
sis Coordinator will work closely with the Analysis Centers to implement an=
y agreed upon standards for the next ITRF reprocessing, ITRF2020.

In addition, an important as=
pect will be working with the ACs to implement the RINEX/DORIS processing, =
so the data from the newest satellites can contribute to the ITRF.p>
