Subject: | [SLR-Mail] No.2580: Pressure corrections for 8834 | |
Author: | unknown | |
Content: | Dear colleagues, The Wettzell Laser Ranging System (WLRS) 8834 had obtained a small system bias in the observations between 2012 and 2019. The error was that the height correction between the pressure sensor and the invariant point of the system went missing. We have rectified that problem and reprocessed all data files in the respective period. The corrected files were uploaded to the EDC database. The pressure sensor itself was substituted for a different unit, which has been calibrated by our national meteo service, prior to the installation. The change of the pressure sensor took place on May 29, 2019. The exact period that has been reprocessed is starting on and including August 10, 2012. The last day that needs to be corrected is on and including May, 28, 2019. All data from and including May, 29, 2019 onwards have both, the height correction included and read the new pressure sensor, which is the same sensor that SOS-W (7827) uses.
