All,

At roughly 10:30AM (15:30 UTC) this morning, the SLR-OC connection to the o=
utside world was restored. Between then and now, we´ve been assessing data=
flow, ensuring that systems are stable, and tracing down potential causes =
of the issue. This afternoon, the service provider confirmed that one of t=
heir systems was in an off-nominal state and needed to be reconfigured.

We´ve started delivering some data products, and we´ll be keeping an eye on=
things to make sure that everything is flowing as expected. We´ll also be=
working with the community to make sure that products from Friday and the =
weekend are delivered in a way that doesn´t interfere with normal operation=
s.

Thank you,

On Friday morning (12/13), SLR-OC realized that we had no network connectiv=
ity between our operations environment and the outside world, and throughou=
t the day, we worked with our service provider to determine that there is a=
problem with provider-owned hardware. We´ve already scheduled a technicia=
n to be onsite as soon as they are available, hopefully today (12/16), and =
we are also investigating other options that might help with a faster recov=
ery. SLR data and products are still available through the EDC and ILRS OC=
FTP sites. Additional information will be provided as status changes at t=
he SLR-OC.
