Dear Colleagues.

We would like to remind you to that it is important that you acknowledge the ILRS in your papers and presentations that rely on SLR data or products and results. Please reference the following citation,
Pearlman et al. (2019):

Pearlman M.R., Noll C.E., Pavlis E.C., Lemoine F.G., Combrink L., Degnan J.D., Kirchner G., Schreiber U. (2019). ”The ILRS: approaching 20 years and planning for the future”, J. Geodesy, 93, 2161-2180, DOI:10.1007/s00190-019-01241-1

The Pearlman et al. (2019) reference given above is an update of the earlier citation
(Pearlman et al. (2002)). Please make sure to use this *new* citation in your papers and communications.
We noticed that some published papers in 2020 still used the older citation.
Also, as a point of interest, the Pearlman et al. (2019) is part of a special issue on Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR)
in the Journal of Geodesy. We encourage you to review the other papers in that special issue, if you have not
already done so.

Also, if possible, please include SLR as a keyword in your papers if you use SLR data or products. The SLR community relies on these acknowledgements and references to strengthen its requests for continued support from its funding organizations. The ILRS Central Bureau asks that you provide a link to and/or bibliographic reference of any SLR/LLR-related papers. Please submit additional citation information by contacting the ILRS Central Bureau. (ilrs-cb@lists.nasa.gov).

Thank you for your assistance and consideration.

Please continue to stay safe during this Covid-19 pandemic.

Sincerely,
Frank Lemoine
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
(On behalf of the ILRS Central Bureau)
