Content: | Author: Rob Sherwood Dear colleagues, We´ve been appalled by recent events in Ukraine and saddened by the impact of war on innocent people´s lives. In the light of today´s message from the ILRS, the Herstmonceux station will stop submitting GLONASS SLR data to the ILRS Data Centers. We intend to continue tracking these satellites, but will hold the data at the station for the foreseeable future. This we hope will enable the good science that is being undertaken by our friends and colleagues around the world to continue at some point in the future without extended gaps in the time series. While also removing any chance that our information can either be used, or be seen to be used, by the current Russian regime in the prosecution of its actions. We take this decision as the individuals working at the station, this is simply the position we feel able to adopt at this time, it doesn´t imply any wider statement from any of our host organisations. We hope, as everyone I´m sure does, for a swift and peaceful resolution to the current crisis.
