Subject:[SLR-Mail] No.2789: ILRS Station News Reporting Reminder
Author:Van S Husson, ILRS Central Bureau
Content:Author: Van S Husson, ILRS Central Bureau

Dear ILRS Stations,

Some of the newer stations that have joined the ILRS network in the past few years are probably unaware that there is a ILRS Station News procedure that was established almost 20 years ago (August 2003) by the ILRS Central Bureau.

Station news is very important in keeping our community and especially our end users in the communication loop. The ILRS station news reporting procedure can be found at https://ilrs.gsfc.nasa.gov/network/site_procedures/station_news_procedure.html

Station news worthy items include but are not limited to the following:

Projected extended station downtime
Reduction or increase in tracking schedule and/or changes in operational staff
Need for a bulk resubmittal of data
Documentation of a system performance problem
Termination of station operations

Thanks for your attention and clear skies,
Van
ILRS Central Bureau
