| Content: | ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 1999-05-25 12:09:00 UTC Message No. 329 ******************************************************************************** Author: Giuseppe Bianco Subject: MLRO dome installed Dear all, I´m glad to inform you that the custom 9.5 meter aluminum Observa-Dome has been successfully installed and tested on the roof of the MLRO building on Friday, May 21st. The dome weights 6.5 tons and its maximum rotational speed is 20 degs/second. It has a cylindrical base which allows the telescope an unobstructed view down to -5 degs with respect to the horizon.
