| Content: | ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 1999-07-15 08:47:00 UTC Message No. 374 ******************************************************************************** Author: Mike Pearlman Subject: Passing of David Hallenbeck for Dear Colleagues: Last night, David Hallenbeck, long-time manager of the SLR tracking station in Arequipa, Peru, lost his battle with cancer. His wife Sonja and his sons Charlie, Richard, and Robert were at his side. David had been associated with the tracking network since he joined the SAO Baker-Nunn camera program in the mid-1960´s. At this time we do not have any information regarding funeral arrangements but we will forward any that we receive. David and his wife were living in Maryland while he was receiving treatment for his illness.
