Further to my message yesterday (SLRMAIL 437) announcing MAIL problems here (now mended - thanks to those who re-MAILed lost messages), we have been informed that there has been a major routing fault somewhere centrally in the AC.UK network since Monday. The nature of the fault remains unknown and the timescale for repair is therefore also unknown. The symptoms seen here are that all network transfers take up to 100 times longer than normal. So our attempts to FTP GPS and Glonass orbit data files from Berne have timed out and we have not been able to produce daily IRVs for the last 2 days. We will do the best we can to keep the files up-to-date but regret that we cannot guarantee normal service for GPS and Glonass daily IRVs until the fault is fixed. However, to overcome this problem, we are now computing daily SLR-based IRVs for the Glonass satellites, and these are available via the normal FTP address ftp://mtfiles.nerc-monkswood.ac.uk/nercslr/current/. `RGO´ predictions for other satellites should be available as normal. Again apologies for any inconvenience.
