Subject: Discontinue SLR Tracking On Glonass 70
for ; Fri, 17 Sep 1999 16:59:36 -0400 (EDT)

Dear Colleague,

This is notification to stop tracking attempts on Glonass-70. The
satellite has not been operational since early September and no SLR
returns have been received since September 3. It had been anticipated
that the satellite outage would be short, but that has not been the
case. The IGEX Committee plans to discuss a substitute satellite next
week at the ILRS Meeting in Florence.

Best regards,

Mike
