Content: | ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 1999-11-04 09:18:00 UTC Message No. 481 ******************************************************************************** Author: Mike Pearlman, Secretary ILRS Central Bureau Subject: Predictions for GLONASS Satellites Subject: GLONASS Predictions for Dear Colleagues: In our earlier message we neglected to mention the availability of the Berne/Herstmonceux ”Swiss” IRVs which have been produced daily for all broadcasting GLONASS Satellites for over a year. Experience with these predictions has shown that the offset in the range gate is almost always less than 50ns and frequently less than 20 ns, which minimizes background noise even in daylight. If you have had difficulty tracking the GLONASS satellites, try these elements which are available from the NERC site at: ftp://mtfiles.nerc-monkswood.ac.uk/nercslr/current/ or through the link to the NERC site through the Predictions Page on the ILRS web site. We need your participation to provide the widest coverage for GLONASS tracking support. Best regards, Mike Dr. Michael R.
